17 May Pickett Receives Gold in Safety Excellence from Mosaic
As part of the company’s relentless pursuit of an injury-free workplace, Mosaic tracks and reports employee and contractor safety performance, including the frequency of any injuries, which is factored into the overall company performance. The individual contractor organizations contributed to Mosaic achieving its safety performance targets in 2015.
“We always look forward to this annual luncheon where we honor our contract partners for sharing our strong safety culture consistently,” said Bo Davis, Mosaic Senior Vice President – Phosphate Operations. “Once again, we recognized a growing number of exemplary contractors that not only meet our high standards, but have a shared commitment to the safety of our workforces.”
Contractors eligible for recognition worked more than 2,000 on-site hours at a Mosaic facility during 2015 and met established criteria for safety performance — including no significant incidents or injuries that met or exceeded Mosaic targets, and reporting requirements.
Safety recognition was awarded to individual organizations according to the following:
• Platinum: met the criteria and sustained the gold standard for five or more consecutive years.
• Gold: met the criteria and sustained performance for five or more consecutive years.
• Silver: met the criteria and sustained performance for three or four consecutive years.
• Bronze: met the criteria and sustained performance for one or two consecutive years.
