Safety is at the heart of everything we do. Our employees are safety-trained and hold certificates in multiple safety related procedures, including OSHA/MSHA training for work conducted on mine property or plant sites; TWIC training for individuals who require unescorted access to secure areas of maritime facilities and vessels; MOT training for individuals involved with Work Zone Traffic Control to ensure that FDOT standards are followed in planning, designing, supervising, implementing, and maintaining work zone traffic control; electric utility Safety and Security Training; and First-Aid/CPR training.
From daily “tailgate” safety meetings to company-wide quarterly safety meetings, Pickett takes the safety of our personnel, our clients and the public very seriously. Our philosophy is that the well-being of our company and clients is dependent on the health and safety of our workforce. Every precaution reasonable in all circumstances is taken for the protection and welfare of all employees. No job is regarded as so urgent that time cannot be taken to perform it in a safe manner.
We are committed to continuously striving for an accident-free workplace through effective administration, safe work practices and procedures, and education and training in accordance with industry standards and the Occupational Health and Safety Act, along with all relevant regulations.
